A shoutout to my Personal Trainer!

For the longest time I thought that I couldn’t take control of my food and fitness because I believed that I didn’t have the willpower to do it. Turns out I just didn’t have the right game plan and guidance. It’s really hard to exercise any willpower if you aren’t even sure what you should and should not be eating or doing.

When I started tracking my macros, it was so easy for me to know what I could eat without always second guessing myself. I knew for sure which foods would fit and which treats I could have and which ones I should pass on. No more hemming and hawing or feeling guilty or torturing myself. I couldn’t believe how easy it was. In the past, I always took on very intense workout/diet programs that were short term. And, when they were over, I would completely stop. It wasn’t something that I could maintain long term. I started working out again in the spring of 2020 to get back on track…but I was working out every single day. While I was proud of myself for being able to do it, I actually wasn’t even seeing any results. I felt more in shape, but the scale didn’t move and my body didn’t really change.

When, I shared my frustrations with Carolyn as a friend, she reminded me that she could help me… if only I would let her! I had resisted in the past, but I knew that she had what I needed. Carolyn helped me to simplify my workout plan to make it more sustainable. When Carolyn put me down to just 3 workouts a week with walking, I knew that this could be my lifestyle going forward. And 6 months later, it still feels so simple and easy to stick to.

Now, I’m down almost 20 lbs, and I feel stronger, more in shape, more energetic and healthier than ever before! I feel confident in my body. It feels so good to pull on a pair of jeans that fits me perfectly. It feels awesome to see things improve over time, like my strength, my endurance, my posture…and even the shape of my booty! Carolyn has given me so much more than a workout. She has given me encouragement, support, advice, instruction, friendship, laughter, goals, nutrition support, exercise tutorials and so much more. She treats me like an individual, helping me to find the right macro balance for MY metabolism and the right workouts for my body and my goals. I’m so thankful that I said yes to something that is simple, straightforward and easy to stick to. My life is forever changed!
